Inside Technical Sales Representative

Responsabilities

• Fielding customer inquiries, selecting appropriate equipment and generating proposals.
• Managing orders from entry to shipping.
• Following up on outstanding quotations.
• Assessing equipment in for repair and generating repair quotations.
• Checking status of orders and reporting to customers accordingly.
• Manage the equipment selection/quotation/order process, product inspection, testing and warranty claims.
• Supporting the needs of outside technical salespeople.
• Generate and place purchase orders with vendors for parts and equipment.
• Working closely with other employees engaged in equipment service and/or customer service roles within the company.

Qualifications

• 5 – 7 years experience in outside or inside sales.
• We're seeking an individual to fill a multi-function role in our Mississauga facility.
• Proficient with office software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
• An engineering diploma or degree (mechanical, industrial, or chemical).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with the application and/or sales of industrial or municipal pumping equipment (centrifugal, vertical turbine, PD, diaphragm, metering, etc.) is required.
• Experience with and knowledge of instrumentation and distributed control systems would be a valued asset.
• Strong written and oral communication skills (English) and be able to communicate well with customers and vendors,
• Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Active listener with excellent communication skills.
• Sound judgement and critical thinking.

Compensation

• 60k –90 Base Salary (based on experience – negotiable)
