Web Developer

Job ID: 502 | Located in GTA (ON), Toronto (ON) | Sector: Information Technology | Full-time

Build and maintain highly scalable, well-engineered consumer facing web applications
Integrate applications with existing services and APIs (internal and external)
Build registration, login, personalization and social media integration features
Integrate web features into mobile applications (registration/login, embedded browser features)
Write clean, well documented code, accompanied by unit tests
Create appropriate level of documentation for developers and QA

University degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, CouchDB)
Understanding of Agile/Scrum processes, planning and estimation
Understanding of Apache web server and Linux platform2+ years designing and developing scalable web platforms (Java or C#)
Excellent knowledge of one or more server frameworks (Java, Spring, Rails) with Ruby/Rails
Experience in OOD and TDD
Strong relational database experience with MySQL
Experience with client side technologies - HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery
Experience with Server-Client communication protocols (REST, XML, JSON)
Experience in entire development life cycle – design, develop, deploy, test, release
Experience building APIs and integrating with 3rd-party API (including social media)
Experience building ECommerce functionality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to go the extra mile for a better product
Self-management and multitasking
